As 2017 draws to a close, Serpa Packaging looks back over the past twelve months with a sense of pride. With some impressive product releases and improvements, this has been an incredible year!
It was an exciting moment when we sold our first Serpa Insert Feeder. Our patent pending system increases efficiency by reducing the need for operator intervention. It also solves problems known to occur with friction feeders by utilizing live friction side clamps and live top tabbing to hold and release inserts to be picked by the vacuum pick head and transferred to the containment belts. The new feeder is an integral addition to our product line, and its release has been critical to our year’s success.
In keeping with our history of innovation, we also designed a new Product Rotation System in which air and powered belts rotate and transfer products through the production line. Existing rotation systems are not powered and rely only on product back pressure to push the products through the system. This requires the operator to push the products through the rotation system at the end of a run, which is not required with the Serpa system. This exciting evolutionary design reduces user intervention and engagement with the system, creating a higher level of efficiency, leading to higher, quicker output with fewer challenges along the way!
This year, Serpa also launched the ModPack Semi-automatic Case Packer at Pack Expo Las Vegas. The ModPackTMcan be customized for nearly any project and is compatible with all serialization systems and providers. It features a standard modular design which allows it to be easily configured to solve the challenges of any case packing project. The labeling module even swings open to allow full access to the machine and the labeler itself.
At Pack Expo Las Vegas we also introduced our new, smaller redesign of the Inline Case Rotation System. This system allows for the gentle rotation of cases in either direction and can even be configured to include a case labeler. It features an integrated reject system that can be used for open flap rejects or bad label rejects.
Serpa Packaging saw quality innovative designs of new products and efficient updates of previous products. We continued to focus on our mission: to become the end-of-line packaging company of choice by providing the most advanced technology and by establishing long-term relationships with our customers. We pride ourselves on the best customer service in the industry and the ability to offer customized solutions without sacrificing uptime and accessibility.
We are thankful to our loyal clients who helped make 2017 a wonderful year in business. We know that our relationships with you contribute to our ongoing success, and we look forward to renewed partnerships in 2018!
